St Eata's Church

Landscape Photography
The Church of St. Eata in Atcham is idyllically placed on the banks of the River Severn in Atcham, near Shrewsbury. St Eata was a seventh century saint and this suggests that an earlier Saxon church once stood on the current site. The base of the church tower dates to the Norman period (1066 - 1154) but a new top was built onto the tower during the 15th century.
